★ HELP! Missing ex.harddrive (F:) ★

Hey, does anyone know what to do when your external hard drive (F:) won't show up? It seems my computer can no longer read it, but I can't figure out why. There was no hint that it would mess up or anything.

I scanned my computer for viruses (updated version and everything), and I found nothing. (Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition)

No new spyware or anything on my computer. (The REAL SpyBot Search & Destroy)

I even went to Control Panel > Management Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management and it's not listed. :(

I know my USB ports work, because I tried each one out with my mouse (I only have a measly two, lol). Also, it shows a red light (meaning it's plugged in), but I just can't access it. And it makes a funny scratching noise and delays the computer starting up (never happened before).

I have a SimpleTech "SimpleDrive Portable" 100 GB external hard drive and my computer uses Windows XP.

Could anyone help me??

OMG ED, I just came back from Anime Boston...

was
awesome.

I dressed up as Sailor V (today), and in my red kinomoto yesterday. You have got to go sometime. I know I would love to have a booth there to sell my work. You should get one too with me!
I gots so much stuffs too. And a few things for you, but you'll have to wait until your birthday to get them.
muhahahahaha.
Adam and I got a little Mokona plushie for Kim: it spins around in a circle. I have my own Mokona now too!

I have pictures of me in my Sailor V outfit... although I look really fat in it...
I'm going to put them up someday.
